I bought 2x 1Gb 184pin DDR PC 2700 recently on e-bay for £25 plus postage. Think i might have been lucky though. If you're not bothered about matched pairs what i did was watch all the Single 1Gb sticks i could and placed a bid of £15 on each (I did avoid unbranded RAM and low feedback sellers). This ment i had 10 winning bids at one time but i lost most of them. The ones i won were the sales ending very late at night or very early morning where no one was watching the last few seconds.

A new 2Gb from a reliable brand will cost you around £65-£70
