Cooking is as much about timing and co-ordination as it is about preparation. There's no point spending time preparing lovely things if some of them are going to be served cold or overcooked. A Christmas dinner is a good test of your ability to co-ordinate, so well done you! :)

I love cooking for others - it gives me great pleasure.

I take it that this is just the start of your culinary journey?

I suppose really cooking is about thinking what you need to do and concentrating on what needs to be done and when. I must admit im well impressed that it was nice to do Im 20 years old and have my own flat and to be honest im loving learning all the new skills ie home wise cooking etc I only want to be a good cook so I can let my girl friend know that I absolutely love spoiling her even if it is with good food sounds daft personally but I dont think theres nothing more then a nice hot meal.

Learning how to be a good cook will stand you in good stead for the rest of your life. Trust me.

If you love them, feed them.....is one of the motto's in this house. :)

Nice to see a young bloke cooking a full roast.

Well done to you, cooking a full roast dinner is a real test for anybody even an experienced cook can muck it up so doing it as a novice is no mean feat. You should feel proud of yourself.

You should feel proud of yourself. It took me a few attempts to make a decent full roast but i think now i've cracked it and started on other things too. You'll be cooking lots of different stuff in a few weeks time! Your girlfriend will love it!
