Why don't you have a forum get together and sell stuff you have been meaning to get rid of.

You just have to rent some folding tables, have it in someones garden and make money on each other or give to charity.

I bet you all have something another member would like to buy from you, outsiders welcome too.

You would just be responsible to take back the things that don't sell.

How I miss US yard and garage sales. I have picked up some good bargains over they years.

For some reason (probably the weather, lack of frontage to many UK houses and the existence of car boots) they have never taken off here.

Yes, i think thats true, they wouldn't take off, myself i love them so much i've had to stop going to them, too many good bargins, things i can do without, but this time of the year there all over the place, don't even have to look in the paper to find one, just drive around.

That used to be my weekend recreation - yard sale spotting. No wonder US citizens love big vans - its to cram all the stuff in they buy from yard sales at weekends!

There are some good bargains to be had. A few years ago, my son spotted "fish bones" for sale. The man who owned it let him have it for $1. He also threw in a dinosaur tooth my boy was admiring.

The stone the fish was encased in had a piece of paper glued to the back with the name of a company on it. This is his fish.

I love yard sales!
