I'm going to Glastonbury and thinking about braiding my hair.
Is it easy to do? Will I have to pay lots at a hairdresser?
I've got blond hair which is a few inches below my shoulders.
Any advice?

It's not against the law to wash you hair at a festival, they have taps, take some shampoo and give it a rince.. It's not all soap dodgers any more, they can no longer afford to go!
Better things to do at Glasto than queue at the showers neeeeeeek!:headbang:
And cutting down on creature comforts leaves more room in the rucksack for beer!
Just fancying the braiding now anyway.

good thinking. I'm going glasto too and i'm definatly braiding or twisting my hair (crazy braid style) for hassle free locks that will still look cool covered in mud!!
I've just dyed my hair red for Download festival... with matching pink (read my thread further down general section for details) eyebrows! lol...
my plan is to stick some hair putty in my head on friday and just keep roughing it around till monday... its the only way to go lol...

I do hair braiding, but I've not got 5 posts, so I can't PM you! I think you can send me one though.
Oooo.. braided hair whilst outside in the summer sunshine with no shelter for a few days.
What lovely raw sunburned stripes you will have on your scalp. Then you can have another week or so looking gorgeous with white calamine stripes from the St John tent.
Seriously... have a good think about it before you do it.

Sorry for being sad, but I caught a glimpse of BB last night and some bird was having her hair braided and it's looking good.

might be a bit uncomfortable sleeping on your braids in a tent?
Just to to the showers- they really arn't that bad- i was there last year and i didn't mind them at all!!!
Are you still looking for somene to braid hair?
Just a memory really! - But I used to get my hair braided at Glastonbury town (never been to the festival-my grandparents live nr Glastonbury) You could get it done on the street back in the 90's..it was fashionable then. It;s an amazing place but I think it's gone a bit more up market since i used to go! Last time I went in about 2000 a lot of the shops had started to sell expensive crystals etc...would love to go back! Hope you find somewhere to get your hair braided and have a good time xx
I just notice that this thread is years old lol!!!! It did occur to me that it was the wrong time of year!
