Is it GKR by any chance? Cos thats the one I've been training in for the last 3 and a bit years!

Either way let the karate hungry masses of Sheffield know the details! :)

What's the deal with GKR? I've heard they are a little commercial and charge the earth for training and grading.

My only experience of them was when some students came knocking on my door asking if I was interested in joining their class. Seemed a little like some door-to-door sales scheme.

In my experience they don't charge any more than other clubs I've seen 3-5 for training and about 15 for grading.

I thai box an all and its about the same prices there.

They do like their merchandise a bit - but you don't have to buy it if you don't want to! I personally like the magazine they do but won't buy owt else.

I've found em to be very good (bit obvious this tho - otherwise I wouldn't still be training with em).

Just wondering how "traditional karate" training can be non-contact? Especially gojo-ryu, I think the top Okinawan sensei such as Iha Sensei & Higaonna Sensei may dispute any such claim. Just my opinion. Gambatte :)
