View Full Version : Blue or Black ink for my exams ?
I have 2 exams this week and why do I have to choose betweeen blue and black ink.
Not only this but a clear pencil case, clear screw top bottle, only 2 pens a single tissue and no rubbers.
Its an exam getting through the door in case you can`t pass because you have the wrong items.

 I used to lug in about six pens (black ink :P) into my exams - it started as a concern that my first pen would stop working, forcing me to resort to a back up pen; but then I'd worry that both pens would run out, and I'd need a back up for my back up.... you get the picture  :P

Because they mark in red, then second mark in green so they don't want you using either of those colours :)
and all the other stuff to stop you smuggling stuff in and cheating. Some kids have got very creative these days.
I am a bit like that, my son who is also sitting the exams this week only takes one in as they supply them with others if needed.
A tango bottle with answers on the inside of the label, was 2 weeks ago according to my son.
Now they can only take a drink in if the bottle has no label on.
Why bother?

Blue because everythign black is wrong
Got to be Black ink!! Oh I too can remember in the distant past taking millions of pens 'just incase.'
Good luck with your exams!
I think you're suppose to write in black ink but I prefer writing in blue - think my handwriting looks better in blue!!:D
Black all the way for me
I take hundreds of pens, once for an english exam I had brough 4 and 3 of them didn't work :o :P

Getting the right question always helps me :P
Black - assuming they still photo copy the answer papers.
Thanks for all the good lucks, I found out last night I can already book my place for the English AS level for September.
Not bad for 26 years out of school if I say so myself.
Just thought, i had an exam a few weeks ago at Don Valley. Trust me to sit right near the mens toilets.
It seemed that the men were having some problems with urinating that day, i.e. they were totting in there every two seconds! and i mean loads, they were going in tonnes, and i know people sometimes get a weak bladder with nerves and all, but this was stupid.
So then someone sugessted to me after that it would be very easy for someone to write answers, say on their leg, and then go to the toilet, have a quick peek in the cublicle, and bobs your uncle.
Now why didnt i think of that in the first place!!

jeez hope you don't have hay feever....
when we were doing our g.c.s.e's my mate took a whole box in with her and put them on the floor under her desk. she also had a nasal spray, eye drops, tablets etc....
just because it was unbearable for her to sit in a cramped hall when they were cutting the grass outside.
kids must be getting sneaky indeed. they used to let us take our own dictionary into our languages exam, without checking them, if i had been a dishonest person i could have had a-level german style sentances written in the back just in case :hihi:
and i would have never got thru a-level sciences without my endless supply of fruit pastiles. mind you, if they took the pressure off getting higher grades, most kids wouldnt feel the need to cheat.
oh and i'd go blue parker pen. writes beautifully. and have a blue biro for crossing out.
Pressure for higher grades? Don't you get an A just for getting your name right these days? ;)
(which is tongue in cheek, but I don't laugh when I see how many manage to get their candidate numbers completely wrong...)
