I'm sorry you didn't make it, too, I was looking forward to seeing you again. And to returning 2 Ikea shopping bags of yours! I found them in my bags when we got back from that doggy escort trip and then kept forgetting to let you know.
Yesterday, for some reason, my brain cell suddenly burst into life and i remembered to take them with me to the Rising Sun!
Ahhhh, I wondered what had happened to those :D
I'll have to bring Brude over to menace your menagerie some time in the new year Dozy :)

Brilliant nite - and also a great big thank you to Spottie for putting in so much time and hard work and badgering for the prizes and selling the tickets.
It was a lovely night and again I second the thank you to the Rising Sun - its a lovely friendly pub and I have a picture of the Landlady holding her fabulous little Yorkshire Terrier that she also took out of the pound. He lookes LOVELY and she says he is the best and they love him to bits.
Thanks to Mr & Mrs Adz our photographers who tirelessly go to the kennels each week for updating the pics of the dogs and the lovely poster they had done for me with about 50 or so of the dogs Rescued by Rain in 2008. We were amazed at how many there were and also how many more we hadn't got pics of and it was nice for us all to talk about them and remember each by name that had been seen on the site. I pretty much remember them all even though i am going abit lacks on the memory front.
It was funny too cos someone told me that in senior levels at the council it was thought that rescues 'cherry picked' ha - yeah right - ours are about 80% staffy's, 10% mastiffs/rotties and the remaining 10% either blind/dying/needing operating on or crippled - strange cherry.
The Rising Sun have asked if they can have a copy up there so everyone can see the poster too.
Thanks to everyone who bought tickets - the money will all be going to our boarding and huge vet bills.
