I just thought I'd say that I had a really good night - was great to meet all of you in person! We should have a meet on a Sunday at some point - perhaps in a cafe? - so that people who can't make thursdays can join the fun!!

I didnt come to the meet as it was my sisters 7th birthday so I had to go up and see her. If it wasnt on the same date I would have gone, anyway lets all meet on a sunday next time, it would be alot better.

Agreed. Sunday would be better for me. Or how about a saturday afternoon?

Great to see everyone again, old and new and from far away.

Did wonder if t020 had been really brave when i went in but it turned out to be Agent Dan. Gillie stood on Jamie's feet whilst he tried to teach her to salsa. Andy C was reluctant to come and sit with us and was downing his pint at an alarming rate at the bar til he realised which big and only group in the bar we were, we are not that scary. And Sass did excellent food even though he didn't know it was that night (i'm sure we are all still oozing garlic from every pore) and he had a very sore finger (as the story goes). The music was good too.

Thanks again for another good night.:thumbsup:

sorry, busy, haven't got round to it yet (still trying to decide who is gillie and who is fuzzy_p (my memory is hazy all round). Those of you that were there, pm me and I'll send you the link, it's just that everyone who wanted to be pixellated hasn't been yet.

I had a great time y'all. We must have left before the dancing on the bar, but we did enjoy the garlic bread and chicken wings.
However, my husband was almost mugged in the toilets. A druggie looking guy asked for a pound. So hubby said no, he didn't have any. The guy reached out and said, come on give us a pound. So hubby raised his fist to protect himself and said I'll pound you. The guy ran for it and was last seen running up the street. We laugh about that now but it was a bit scary at the time. Don't mess with the Funkes. Apart from that, we all enjoyed the music and the company. Thanks to everyone who made us feel welcome and came to talk to us. I'm a bit shy at talking to people I don't know but I realized that I did know quite a few people by their forum names. My brother thought it was all quite funny that we didn't know anyone's real names. Anyway, thanks again for a great night out. My brother said it hadn't changed since the Jolly Buffer.

Changed thread name to include November to avoid confusion over future nights out. If that's a problem I can always change it back.
