Sorry, Kirky, but I do not think there is a central 'Black Cab' Lost Property Office in Sheffield. They are not just working for one company.

Council switchboard say it would go to your friends in blue.

Unless you can remember the taxi number or company then put your life on hold and call 220 2020.:thumbsup:

I had this problem....over the period of a month I left 3 coats and one bag (full of good stuff!) in black cabs,....I searched high and low but no contact number.

I trekked to the big rank at the train station and asked there...I was greeted with looks that made it seem liked I'd asked "do you know hot to get the planet beetle juice using a mars bar wrapper?"

I reckon your phone is lost for good mate.

luckily ive got a copy of my numbers stored on mi pc and its only 15 quid for another sim card and i get to keep mi number so its not such a great loss..at least the phones off so no one can riun up a bill.

Could this be the most honest cab driver in Sheffield?
I left my wallet with cash and credit cards on the back seat of a black cab (stupid I know) that I took from the train station to the Hallamshire. As soon as I got out I knew I had left it, but the cab was already around the corner. I spent a couple of stressed, unproductive hours in a meeting, and then started to walk into town to catch a cab back to the station. The first cab I hailed was the same one that had dropped me off! He had returned after a fare to search for me noting that my job title (on the driving lisense) meant I would be working at the Hallamshire. Having not located me (reception at the hospital were unhelpful), he was on his way to the police station. The money and cards were all still there!
