Has anyone been to an Aldi store? Where are they & are they good value for money? I saw one yesterday, Sunday at Meadowhall retail park but it was closed anyone reccommend?

Aldi rock! sure some of their food is a bit crappy... my mum just keeps saying as long as you stay clear of their ready meals your fine :D

they have some FANTASTIC offers on each week, from power tools to computers, laptops... seriously they have some great stuff and great prices... we picked up a TFT monitor from there for cheap :D

what you talking about? Aldi is far superior to netto :P Aldi sell the most fantastic mini jaffa cakes known to man! and also their orange juice is also amazing, its much better quality than anything you get from sainsburys or asda, its lovely stuff i could drink it buy the pint! and its cheaper too!

seriously, people under estimate Aldi... check out their web-site every thursday for their special offers, they have really good things... especially when they have PC's and laptops and tv's etc all with good warrenty's and fantastic prices

Aldi are much like Lidl, - basic stuff at basic prices, no frills shopping and good value. They both have some amazing 'hardware and electrical' offers which you can have emailed to you on a regular basis.

We once did a comparison weekly shop, - Aldi versus Tesco and Aldi worked out about 20% cheaper !!

aldi and netto are SO different, as most of netto's stuff is brand names that they buy cheap so they can sell cheap but aldi have there own suppliers. as a general rule, aldi are alright as long as you keep an eye on the food you buy if you catch my drift!

oh yeah.. 4got lidl, lidl is cool to an extent, but still recommend netto, god will now strike down upon me
