Jumbo near the Crucible or No1 Buffet. If you love chinese food you can get plates and plates and plates of the stuff! However at Jumbo you have to pay for tap water!

Take your own then, i do & it ain't proper Chinese food, i'ts full of chemical brain changing msg!
7 never take young kids there, it makes them hyperactive & messes with their heads more than adults!

i went out with a group of friends and my kids to the jumbo, my little lad who is 8 was really ill with a bad tummy for days afterwards i didnt feel to well either everyone else seemed to be ok but it has deffinatly put me off going again, and the other one ( i think its called number 1 oriental buffet) is awful inside just reminds me of a really bare school canteen.

the best one ive ever been to that i will deffinatly go again was Wok one on the way to donny

Me and my housemates love no1, its a great place to eat (although it definatly feels like a school canteen). Look out for Zong, hes our favourite waiter!

I've never been to jumbos because the jumbos in york got closed down for a while....something to do with dog or rat meat being served as i recall! It kinda put me off! :gag:

I used to work in a chinese buffet resteraunt - the health and safety were round all the time. It is not because the waiters/chefs were unclean or put stuff in the food, more that because it is a buffet, you can't always be sure that people have washed their hands at the loo or coughed with their hands over their mouths. Yuck.

As regards dog and rat meat being served...could this be a case of chinese whispers!

I went to Jumbo's last summer - there were flies crawling in the icecream :gag:

Didn't rate it to be honest - waiters and waitresses were hovering all the time - felt like we needed to hurry up.
