I live in a normal 3 bed semi in a residential street ,i need a house name ( sick of my mail going to another address that sounds like my address).
Ive looked on the internet nothing fits- they all are names like Ivy Cottage - which my house is not a cottage! or names that are like The Wynde or The Old Mill.
Im totally stuck.
My hubby likes footy and his suggestion is " BAKOTHENET" - typical.I love cats and have lots of them.We dont have roses in the garden or any thing quirky that stands out
Any suggestions ?????

You could always use the name of a favourite city you have visited eg we called ours Arequipa, as we went to Peru on our honeymoon and liked it best of all the places we stayed. In acient Peruvian it means "yes, stay" and we thought it was relevant. What about something French (like NOT chez nous!), or after a book you've loved. Just throwing ideas about...
i used to work with someone who called her house robina which was the names of her to children put together... robert and tina, she took the first 3 from one and the last 3 from the other.
You like cats but don't have roses in the garden?
How about "Catsnorosa" / "Pawsnorosa" - or for hubby - cats 'n footy - "Catsagola".
You could combine love of cats and football and if you like James Bond Films you could call it Pussy Goalore!!!
You could look up gaelic and spanish words for something which does describe your home.
Like restful, or sanctuary, or just home. Have a look online for a dictionary or use babelfish.

My old house was named
"kia ora"
which I believe is Maori for "welcome".
However, I had an ulterior motive for giving that name to my place ...
remember the advert for the squash called "Kia Ora?" remember the jingle? (this was from about 15/20 years ago!)
well I adopted it for me...
"It's just for me and my dawg!"
I am thinking of christening this place "Kia Ora", too!
