Double injury blow for Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday defender Frankie Simek
Simek had just returned from 12 months out with an ankle injury.
Sheffield Wednesday will be without winger Etienne Esajas and defender Frankie Simek for up to six weeks.
Esajas has a broken toe and Simek has suffered a hamstring tear, but Owls boss Brian Laws has some good news with the return of Wade Small from injury.
"I hope he should be back for next week, the bleeding in the eye has gone right down," 47-year-old Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield.
Laws also hopes to extend the loan deal for Stoke defender Lewis Buxton.
The 25-year-old's current loan deal ends in January and Laws is set to talk to Potters boss Tony Pulis this week.

McMahon has broken into the first team at Boro now, and had a good game against Arsenal... not sure they'll let him out again, but you never know.

No kidding! There's been a voodoo curse on Hillsborough since about 1992. I can't remember the last time we had a settled team.

Pushed Simek for too long, too quickly since bringing him back.
