This months meeting will take place on Thursday 18th December at the Hillsborough Hotel on Langsett Road.
This is the 2nd monthly meeting that we have held since we decided to have them on a regular basis, and I would like to ask anybody who is interested in the future of the Walking Group to come along and have some input into what we do. For anyone who hasn't been to one of meets before, can I just say that they are very informal, with a sort of loose agenda in which we normally have a chat about the last months walks, arrange the following months walks, and put ideas forward for any social meets.
This Thursday, depending on the weather, we may end up doing a pub crawl from the Hillsborough Hotel to the Harlequin, but this isn't a definite arrangement as yet, and I'll welcome opinions on this in here if possible please. Either way, can anyone coming to the Hillsborough Hotel get there around 8ish so we can set off for somewhere else at 8.30, if this is what we decide to do.
Finally can I say that Sherwood1 has suggested that maybe anybody who is interested in having something to eat first could get there a bit earlier, at say 7ish. Perhaps people who are intending to do this will say so in their posts. I'll start the ball rolling by saying that Billysmum and I will be eating there first :).
