Just heard that the present management of the Horns is on it's way out this next week (not a moment too soon in my opinion) does anyone know who is taking it over?

Have not been there for a while. They used to do good food at one time but cannot say what it is like now or will be in future.

Oh yes they have the Peacock in Stannington too.....I not a great fan of Thwaites beers myself, but its been a long time since I had a pint......

The new people are in now, they also have the ball at wharncliffe side and another one i cant remember just now. they seem ok but anyone has to be better than the last outfit!

We have always loved the pub, sadly the management were ignorant to say the least. Once they've gone we will look forward to going again.

Just been in tonight for something to eat and food now all home cooked and very good. New owner is John and he does all the cooking. Well worth a trip out. Very enjoyable
