I think these two emoticons are like a red rag to a bull in some threads.

Why not get rid and see if that helps people keep their cool a bit better?

If you can't keep your cool because of an emoticon there's something pretty serious about the state of the individuals mental health.

Leave rant smiley for sure.
Loopy smiley, not sure about it. Just ban rich from using it and it'll barely get used.

Leave them alone, don't think there are enough emotons on here as it is.

Love the loopy one, says it all with just one click.

I think people forget that when it comes down to it, this is only an internet site, one can get upset by things posted on here but it shouldn't really bug you once you turn the comp off.

Keep them, no reason to remove them and not remove all other smileys.

Grow up. They're emoticons.

If people get angry at an emoticon they need to turn the computer off and never return.

I find this slightly childish.

Keep them.

Smileys can help people understand what exactly is being said to them on here.

Keep them.

Smileys can help people understand what exactly is being said to them on here.

And if a big string of cartoon faces don't explain it, one can always revert to using English.

I've noticed a lot of Loopy Smilies being used at the moment and it really does seem to a way of insulting and abusing posters whilst staying within forum rules. All it leads to is a reaction and then an escalation of unpleasentness.
