I'm sure everyone knows about The Bowie Contingent and their supposedly unmissable event next week (18th) at The Library Theatre - http://www.thebowiecontingent.com/home.html

but what other (good) tribute bands are there in Sheffield? I'm thinking about maybe doing some kind of documentary....

"They start the evening Pop and end it Rock" - AB/BA
Female rock covers band - Def Leotard
The disabled miserablists - Joey Division
Local RnB cover sensation - 'Ah Kelly
They don't get many bookings, it's Doncaster's very own - Spear of Destiny's Child

Or did I dream it all?

Highly Strung!!! Spandau Ballet Tribute Band is pretty damn good. It also has the ex bass player from The Bowie Contingent as well..

There's 'A simple twist of Bob Dylan'.
No link to be found. Not bad though.
