How can I restore more memory on my PC?
I've done a disc scan, deleted as many things as i can, emptied my recycle bin, but my PC won't let me burn onto a disc due to not enough space in some temp folder.
If I could find this temp folder it wouldn't be so bad as I could delete it.
First go to C:\Documents and Settings, try to find ur user name, and in Application Data or Local Content, you will find a folder called Temp - try to delete as much out of there as possible.
If you have an AntiVirus installed, go to C:\Windows\Logs..or Internet Logs..
and look for the msn messenger logs from the antivirus, they usually take up 100mb + each, and are one of the reasons ive had those problems before,
if all else fails, you really should consider getting some extra storage to keep your stuff on while burning discs . eg. I have several backup devices im always using 160GB Firewire, 40gb Vaio pocket drive, 60GB Mp3 Drive etc..
How much free space do you have?
Go to My Computer and click once on the disk to show the free space in the bar at the bottom if you don't know how.

Which burning program are you using?
also delete temporary internet files, they can clog up a lot
From IE, Tools, Internet Options, then delete them.
Can also search for *.tmp files and most should be deleteable.
other places
c:\temp
c:\documents and settings\%user%\temp
if not many folders, right click on each from c:\
and see what has most in.
Might be able to find a huge file that maybe shouldnt be there.

I'm using Nero OEMsuite.
I only have 3.25 GB left in memory.
I did a search for all my Temp folders and there was barely anything them all.
I've lost a few GB's somewhere. There is a folder '1836' and it holds 'compdata' and 'system32' etc., is this important?
Can I delete MSN if I don't use it?

Dont delete the I386 directory! You could delete messenger but to be honest it What size hard drive is it? Either it's very small or you have filled it with crap!

On my laptop it says I have 1*256MB DDR SDRAM, 30GB Ultra ATA/100 HDD.
Hope it makes sense.
Assuming you don't have that much installed you have lost a lot of space somwhere. You have over 30,000mb, windows will take about 4,000mb up. Go in to control panel add/remove programs have a look around and remove anything you don't use. Also check in your CD burner software's folder to see if there are any big files in there. It may be keeping a copy of everything you have ever burned.
Assuming XP..... go to the Disk Clean Up utility (Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools) and after a while when it's finished looking what it can clean up, the box will come up. Press the 'More Options' tab, and the third option down is to 'clean up' system restore, which deletes all previous system checkpoints up to the most recent one.
For me this once cleared out 3GB - Windows XP creates restore points every so often and if it's a long time since XP was first installed then this accumulates to a very large amount of data which you don't really need.
PS. To avoid possible confusion, memory usually refers to RAM. You'd be better off using something like "disk space" or "hard drive space" for what you're referring to.
