It's been an interesting year for music. No one has grabbed me by the balls so to speak, but there have been some marvellous songs released. OK, in no particular order, I've enjoyed these a lot:
1 Wiley - Wearing My Rolex
I first heard this whilst having my hair cut, and I got so excited I nearly got my ear cut off! I started ranting about Wiley's career to date!
2 Basshunter - All I Ever Wanted
The first artist from the Europop genre that I've really admired in a long time. It's great to hear that Europop isn't dead (and Basshunter himself is yummy!)
3 Glasvegas - Daddy's Gone
Brilliant! At last, a decent British guitar band that doesn't bang on about nonsense. Brings a tear to my eye (and I am cold!)
4 Ladyhawke - My Delirium
Something very likeable about this antipodean popster. Yeah! 80s vibes are nice.
5 Guillemots - Kriss Kross
I only got into these recently. The gig at Plug was immense. What an amazing voice Fyfe has. He's crazy too!
6 Black Kids - I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance...
I don't really like this band, because they are uninspiring gadflies. However, this is a lovely catchy slab of axe pop!
7 Morrissey - That's How People Grow Up
Godlike - No other words needed.
8 Last Shadow Puppets - The Age Of The Understatement
Lovely to see Turner banging out this sort of stuff. He's reight talented.
9 Snap - Rhythm Is A Dancer
Big influence on Basshunter's nascent career. It was good to see the Grandparents of Europop re-releasing this anthem.
10 MGMT - Time To Pretend
Although I find their album rather tedious in places, this is a brill single.
And I must mention the WORST single of the year (possibly the decade hitherto):
Razorlight - Wire To Wire :nono:
Absolutely unbelievable that people buy this dross!

You're My Star - Stereophonics
I didn't like that song tbh until I heard it acoustic at the gig, it reminds me too much of Fields of Gold by Sting for some reason.
Come on Sheffield Forum, don't be shy. You can also say leona lewis if you want to.
Bellowhead - Trip to Bucharest / Flight of the Folk Mutants

Boyzone - Better
Girls Aloud - The Promise
Ting Tings - Thats not my name
Vampire Weekend - A Punk
Biffy Clyro - Mountain
Katy Perry - I Kissed a girl
Sugababes - About You Now
Duffy - Mercy
Scouting for Girls - James Bond
Will Young - Grace
oh my god that was hard, i could easily do a top 100!!!!
ETA - Kings of Leon - need somebody!
Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love (Just sang it on Lips earlier, pathetic score though, lol)
Meat Loaf - In the land of the pig (the Butcher is King) on Bat out of hell 3 album
Ringo Starr - Liverpool 8
Alexandra Burke - Hallelujah (hated it at first but it's grown on me over time)
Other than that I don't really have any other 2008 faves, the music last year was pretty forgettable IMO.

I'm having trouble thinking of a top three from 2008.

2. You Don't Know Me - Ben Folds.
3. Erm, did I mention that Death Cab For Cutie song? :hihi:
