I'm trying to burn to disc, but as soon as I try I get this message pop up in a window... "not enough space for temporary files in the specified folder 'c:\DOCUME~1\DEANFU~1\LOCALS~1\TEMP\' there are 2433MB available but the recording process will need approximately 2564MB"
can anyone help me with this, please? ;)
I would say you have run out of space. Have a look at "my computer" if using Windows and see what space you have left. If it is low then delete some stuff you dont need. If you know what you are doing there is a "Disk Cleenup" option in the accessories menu. You can delete stuff you need with that though so be careful.

I take it you are burning a DVD? The process creates a large temporary file on your hard drive and you do not have enough space. You need to delete some stuff! You can empty the recycle bin, that might have stuff in it, else delete something else. I would think your compuiter would be running very badly if you only have that much space free. Is your drive partitioned? (do you have drive D as a hard drive as well)

Check inside that folder for films etc that you have done before, the software I use converts then burns it but you have to manually delete it afterwards.
thank you all for that
Burning away as we speak. I did the disc clean before but it was the same, so I deleted the file I converted and away we go.
I'm doing copies of the Owls game for my family. Plus other things :heyhey:

it uses a cache where it bungs a tempory file before burning......i do that when copying cd to cd cos my puters not really fast enough to not get a buffer underrun when doing it cd to cd......so i get it to save a temp file to the hard drive first..............but obviously you need loads of space (prolly at least a cds worth.......700mb) windows needs about 100mb to run properly otherwise it grumbles. Also in nero check that the delete temp file option is ticked otherwise it will keep ALL the temp files forever, which could take up loads of space after a while.
getting rid of a few files in the short term is ok BUT it sounds like you could really do with a new larger hard drive...........if you have only one then you can just install another in the case as a slave and dont need to bother formatting and reinstalling windows etc.
