I have a large allotment in Rivelin Valley (Plot is big enough for 2). I will be honest, it still needs a lot of clearing work before being used.

In some respect though, I would be a bit of a crap person to share with, I have no car or useful tools etc., plus zilch gardening knowledge. I'd be up for helping clearing etc. though, and if you didn't mind amateurs on your land, sharing etc. Let me know..

I would love to share, but I need one in Mosborough.
I am on the list but there is 17 in front me.
I wondered if it is ok with the council to share as I have been told by someone that it is not allowed.
Can anyone clarify the situation.

Only one name is allowed on the tenancy. You can of course unofficially share but if the other person gives up the allotment you cannot currently take it on. Or if they decide they don't want you helping any more then they have all the rights.

You could of course do what you have done: put your name on the waiting list and unofficially share in the meantime.
