Did anyone watch this?

I thought Kenneth Brannagh was excellent in the lead role, and the cinematics were gorgeous. I've never seen a more visually unusual tv drama. The scriptwriting was also spot on.

My only criticism would be that the perpetrator of the murders was pretty obvious too early in the programme, and their weird behaviour didn't really add to the motive, wasn't covered at all by the script, and so came across as... well, a bit silly.

Apart from that though, I loved it. Can't wait for episode two.

I tried to watch it, but I was busy with a couple of other things at the same time. It has potential, seemed quite atmospheric, so I'll certainly give it another go. Hopefully I can watch it in peace next time.

Anyone know who the artist is? For the theme tune?

I've read a couple of the books and the programme really gave the miserable mood of the books. My only criticism is that Kenneth Brannagh's stubble didn't get any longer.
