Hi guys,

We have had our cat Sox for nearly 2 years now and moved into a house in Ecclesall in June this year. I know it was a little bad of us, but in the contract for the house it says no pets :S

Everything has been fine for 6 months as Sox is a very clean and quiet cat and we even had multiple viewings to the property for new renters for when we move next June.

We got a letter yesterday saying they have seen the cat and have told us to remove it immediately.

Basically, i'm asking if anyone knows of any options we have? Whether it be a long term cattery, a kind person to look after him (will be paid of course) or even re-homing if thats our last option.

As many of you will understand, we love Sox very much and losing him forever is the last thing we want to happen.

Ideas or offers anyone?

Thanks for your help in advance,

Rob.

Is Sox male or female? Has Sox been neutred? Does he/she go outside?

He is Male, has been neutered and microchipped and goes out side yes (half his time roughly). Thanks for your reply

I think your best bet would be to find someone to foster him for a while until you get your new house. There are people on here that foster. Good luck, I hope you can find a solution for your problem.

To get someone to foster him (for a maximum of 6 months) seems definatly the best thing to do.

So, if anyone is interested in helping us out greatly, then please post up or send me a PM or ring me on 0787 5383 726

Thanks,

Rob

Is Sox friendly with other cats and/or dogs? If he is then he could probably lodge here for a while, but I do have a large dog who is cat and kitten friendly.

He hasn't had close contact with cats since he came from the rescue centre and hasn't ever really been too close to dogs.

He knows what they are as he has seen them outside being walked and things but i dont know how he would react to living with one. He is extremely gentle and loving though and has never shown any type of agression since we've had him, (nearly two years).

awwww bless him. We'd have fostered him but we have 4 cats of our own, 2 dogs and 5 kids. I have a feeling that might be too much for him :hihi: I'm sure someone will come forward though - maybe olliekitten already did? Good luck!

haha, problem with our dogs is they like to "play" with the cats n chase them. None of our OWN cats are too impressed n they live here! :hihi:

We foster cats but we already have four of our own, four guniea pigs and two rats. Give us a shout if you think he'd be ok with them though and I'll see what I can do:)

why the hell have you signed 'no pets' agreement if you had already had one?
sorry for being abrupt but now all of you, including the cat may be in trouble!
but... i could take him maybe as long as he gets on with my 3 other cats!
