Good luck - you'll need it. How i hated having lessons they were the bane of my life sitting with a stranger for an hour or more doing something so boring and having to pay them extortionate amounts. Be prepared for them to not tell you youre ready for your test for months or years on end even when you can drive better than they can just so they can make that bit more money out of you.

Can you believe the current waiting list for driving tests is 6 months!

Driving instructors know this all too well and dont take this into account like thinking shes about 6 months off being ready so lets book now to give her something to aim for. Oh no they think lets pretend not to know about the waiting lists and wait til im getting too busy and need to get rid of someone.

Oh the hell. Its enough to make me NEVER EVER speed for fear of having to retake driving lessons and test.

Good luck though.

I would teach you but I'm a little out of practise. Not driven for over 2 years.

Nope... not allowed. Only had my licence for just over 1 year.

However he is a VERY good instructor (even if he is a Wednesday fan).

Caprice has the details, she'll PM them to you!

I also know of an excellent instructor based at Wisewood.

He's funny, helpful and teaches you how to drive, not just pass your test.

Let me know if you wants his name.

Yes, I thought it might be one of two people and he was one of them. He taught an ex girlfriend of mine and she passed first time.

lol, kinda.

I hope you wernt stuck behind me when I stalled it by braking hard and not depressing the clutch when a stupid student ran across the road as the lights turned to green
if you were that student, you should be glad i knew the difference between brake and accelerate  other than that it went well

Takes me back to my learner days. I used to have my lessons on Saturday mornings which was good because there was very little traffic on the roads. Might be a different story these days though.
