I was totally unprepared for this movie thinking "whats the fuss about". However by the time it finished, i was so messed up i had to watch 5minutes of moomins on youtube before i went to bed. You know moomins, that classic 80s childrens telly thing?

few other horror movies affected me that much. Utterly utterly ****-pants scary, in proper horror style (not head mess ups like SAW et al).

What do you think?

I think there's actually a couple of REC related threads already on here, but yes, it's a damn scary film!

Try going to see it, and then coming back to your giant shared house to find your housemates are away for the weekend and there are lots of long, dark corridors....

The part where they are looking down at someone on the floor and the fireman falls splattering all over from above made me spill my Stella.

Yes REC is fantastic - I think that the spanish language makes its scarier somehow having subtitles(I love spanish language its beautiful)....

Dont bother with Quarantine - its the same scene for scene, and not as well acted...

If you think REC was fab - give Eden Lake a look...or even scar 3D...

Never heard of it! I'm off to downl . . . I mean rent it now though. Watched Eden Lake last night and was quite impressed - doesn't let up, though I prefered The Descent - had a similar feel. Stll trying to get hold of The Devils Backbone.

Yeah, there are other threads on Rec, but the final scene unsettled me more than any other recent films I can think of.

Rec is a very good film! Very well done and quite scary! There doing a Rec2 which i think is set straight away after the first...i could be wrong though.

Please, please, please dont watch Quarantine, its not very well done, the acting is terrible and its been made 'mainstream' for the americans!

Ive seen descent, not bad. might try eden lake.

we shouldnt give too many spoilers but.......i agree native spanish with eng subtitles was great for me, gave it more authenticity. as for quarantine. typical hollywood tripe jmping on bandwagon cashing in i guess. i wont bother thanks for letting me know

Like The Ring, the US have remade it - Quarantine.

After reading a review it sounds like 28 Days Later but in an apartment building?
