hi does anyone remember anyone who lived on petre street my family lived there for around 15yrs (butchers) we lived at 126 there was an old lady who lived next door to us called mrs kitson, and accross the road a family called reenies (dont know if i have spelt the surname correct) there was a family the next street down from us on edgar street called the sharp family bettie doug susan steven sharon diane.
going down the big hill called sutherland road " i think" where the swimming baths used to be there was a park accross the road.
We lived at 251 1965 to 70, it was in the row of houses between Carwood Rd & Canada St.
I remember there being a swing park just below the baths & on the opposite side of the road, don't know your family though.

My sister must have lived near you Janet Downward she'd be Cashmore then you could see Steve Sharps house over the wall Steve was a friend of mine we lived on harleston st as for Yates paper shop i used to take the papers Mrs Platton worked there one of the nicest Lady's i ever met still friends with Steven

Would that be Jeff it must be 35 yrs it dose'nt seem that long since we used to kick a ball around on the car parks Lady S.Sharp D.Johnson B.Wilde G Cooper K.Williams R.Topham (Bever) T.Thornill (Ossie) D.Newsome R.I.P and a few others no doubt
