hi all, a bit of advice required.

Nathan had his 3rd vaccination today which was the three jabs. The leg in which he had the 2 is quite swollen at the injection site, its very painful for him even if i brush against it and there is a bruise about 1 inch long from one of the jabs.

now i forgot what nurse said about when to take him back, is it if the bruise is bigger than a 50p or the swelling? he has no fever and generally is ok until you touch his leg so i am not overly concerned but just wanting to know any advice on how to make him more comfortable and if i should maybe get him seen. Normally i would ring NHS direct but my phone is not working and i would have to pack us all in car to go use my mums phone. Obviously if he got worse i would take him.

Thanks in advance :)

You can get to the NHS Direct website or to a variety of others via a web search. Sorry I can't easily do a search at the mo as I am not on a full Internet thingy. If there's no fever or other illness, it's hopefully nothing

I was trying and struggling to get anywhere but i changed the key words and got some info. It seems very common for the 3rd jabs to cause more swelling so not worried as much now. He is generally happy until we touch his leg and his temp is below 37 which is even better. I am going to feed him and try get him settled early as he normally settles late at night.
