Anyone know of an artist called A.H. Taylor, possibly of American origin? He did quite a few pictures in the 50s and 60s and he had some of his work exhibited at the Graves Art Gallery in the early 1960s. He may have had some link with the Royal Academy, but so far I have been unable to find out anything about him. Of course, it is possible that he was not a local man, though one of his pictures that I saw reoproduced in a local paper was of a Pitsmoor scene (Macro Street).
Someone who is keen on art might know.

I have found some references to an artist called A.H. Taylor which, while giving no biographical information, refers to "Charlotte, NC, USA". This, of course, suggests that he probably hails from the United States, and the pictures he did in the late 1950s-early 1960s that were exhibited at the Graves Art Gallery were produced while he was holidaying or studying in England.
