Looking to move back into the Sheffield area within the next few weeks, and looking to buy in the Norton Lees area.
Whats the area like? Also need info on the best primary schools in the area as well.

I had 4 happy years in norton lees - nice people and a quiet area. Don't know about the schools cos I don't have kids but I would recommend living there to anyone.

Quality area. Clean, tidy, private and good local amenities.

The only problem around here at the moment is the young hoolies the Police have moved off Meersbrook Park. They appear to have gravitated up the hill and be congregating around Graves Park and the Derbyshire Lane shops more frequently.

I've also heard that Newfield Secondary school has gone downhill in recent times, see http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11658 apparently there's been a few arson attempts on it in the past few months. As for primary schools. there are quite a few to chose from depending where exactly you'll be living. I went to Mundella on Derbyshire Lane but I can't comment on it now as it was quite a while ago :)


The bus service is also slightly hit and miss :) but we'll not get on to that one. There's plently of threads about buses already.

Norton lees is alright, seems very quiet & private (I walk down warminster Road into norton lees to go to my nans) Nice houses down there, people seem rather skittish but that might just be me.
