I have just come to Sheffield and finding the place to live. Is the area of maner oaks garden in manor oaks road is the safe place? Could you please give some idea.

It is in a very bad area. If you look on the estate agents' websites you will see you can get a reasonably new 3 bed houses for less than 90k there. That is never a good sign, I would check out some of the places shown in the links Strix gave you.

i moved on to manor oaks road a yr ago opposite the school NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS, when ive been off work noticed school children are noisy in the mornings, but which children arent! on manor oaks road there are quite a few older people so neighbour nusiance doesnt happen.
must admit some of wybourn is a no go area but not manor oaks road, i dont think so anyway.

gailch is an overseas student - so this neighbourhood is probably not ideal. Whilst people who 'fit in' may not have any trouble in this neighbourhood, gailch may find it more difficult to enoy a quiet life there ;)

I can bet anything that all who have replied so far don't live on the Wybourn. Well let me tell you as someone who knows what they're talking about Wybourn is VERY QUIET and better than alot of other areas in sheffield and around the country. I have spoken to someone who lived there for many years. It's not bad. To really know what an area's like the best people to find out from are insurance companies. Get a quote and see the difference, the higher the quote the least likely you should want to live there - it speaks volumes i gurantee you Wybourn wont show it self up in that area.

Listen to what was said about Manor, now many people are happy to live there £££££££££££££

Manor Oaks Garden is an extremely nice part of Wybourn. I would recommend it. Decent housesm decent neighbours. I cant see much wrong with it. Definitely one of the nicer areas of Sheffield.

Yes the Wybourn is VERY QUIET if your deaf, and i lived on the wybourn for 23 years
