Did you inform the management? Written them a letter stating your dissatisfaction?

As the saying goes 'If you like what we do, tell others; if you don't, tell us.'

My worsed indian i have had in sheffield was at the famous Mangla. I ordered a bhuna.

it was totally dominated by just raw heat , a vague thick sauce drowned in loads of oil, with a few cubes of that sort of processed looking chicken. truely vile , never been back.

Not has cheap has it used to be when it worth the risk of the odd under standard meal due to the price

O.M.G Mangla is soooooo overrated! Cheap but the food is not quality at all & Khan's do not even get me started :rant: The food is flavoured not realy curries at all, again they are cheap.

I am coming to Sheffield just before crimbo & will be going to Akbar's which I think is ace. It deffo gets a 10/10 for quality food & service. I dont think it is expensive but have been told it is by others but I much rather pay the extra £10 or so for great food rather than £0-5 for food that is not quality.

You should perhaps look at scoresonthedoors before venturing into these places.

I went to school many years ago with a kid who was a relation (son or nephew, I forget) of the owner of Khan's on West Street.

The stories he had always put me off going in there to this day.

True or not? Probably not, at least I hope so!

Amraj at Crystal Peaks is the worst I've had. Microwaved rubbish in a canteen environment. What sort of restaurant has plasma tv's on the walls?

I bet no one complains to the management. I am sure that they would sort something out for the disappointed customer.

They certainly do sort you out!!!! I complained once at a certain Indian on London Road that the food was disgusting and had raw chicken in it, and the naan bread was soggy.....I was escorted off the premises by 2 large Indian bouncers and not given a refund!!

I agree, I have tried several places now and this one was fantastic.
The biggest difference was the quality of the meat and the attentiveness of the staff.

Fascinating website, thanks for the link. I see a couple of my occasional haunts get zero or one star, so I might give them a miss next time. Kind of begs the question though, why haven't they been closed down? Presumably zero must mean the full house of horrors?
