I have loads of MP3 files on my computer. I know how to copy them to cd but only as mp3 files. But my car stereo doesnt read MP3's. Is there any way of changing the file type so that it is recognisable by my car stereo.
Hope that makes sense
Thanks

CD audio is the same format as Windows .WAV/PCM encoded audio.
Simply convert the to WAV files and burn them to CD.
Or use Nero to do the burning & it can convert them for you;).
You will loose a little of the quality though - due to re-encoding.
simplest way i think is to use mediaplayer but u can also get programs like nero etc that can do it just as easily
yeah i can use media player, but call me stupid but i dont know how to change it from mp3 to audio?

search on download.com for audio conversion / mp3 convertors, theres loads of free ones and if its just to convert from mp3 to wav..they all do that, pretty basic stuff.
i use exact audio copy for all my ripping, id tagging, file conversions - or theres mp3 3 wav convertor - http://www.mp3fe.com/download.htm#mp32wav
winamp can convert mp3 to wav, so to do that i used to select the .wav output option in winamp and set a directory, make my playlist and hit play.
Then copy the directory to your cdr drive and let windows burn it (or use your burning program if you don't let windows do anything that complicated).
