want to copy a cd to my mp3 player to take on my happy hols and the one cd I really really want to load up isnt recognised when i put it in the computer? Is there anything I can do or do I have to resign myself to being without this particular one?

It may have copy protection on it. Have a look on the back of the CD, it should tell you there. It also shouldn't have the "compact disc - digital audio" on if it's not a true audio CD.

If Windows Media Player 10 doesn't read it, there are ways of getting around it. It involves making an image file of the disc and then reading that instead.

One way I use to copy my cd's to my ipod is using a tool called Easy CD-DA Extractor, thats quite good with CD's.
