With London Road turning more and more into Sheffields own "Chinatown" I was thinking it would be quite good to have one of those archs at the entrance to London Road like in Manchester.

Good idea or not? Discuss!

London Road is not that Chinese, there are only half a dozen Chinese restaurants.

Definately!

I think more hordings(sp?) outside the shops/restaurants would help with the area's authenticity.

Bring it on ................ !

Mixed feelings about this one, but why not I spose.
Thing is, London Road is not completely chinese it's very cosmopolitan, it's Sheffield Chinatown as well Kebab-ville, and also has 7 english pubs within 500 yards.

not just chinese...

there's two turkish restaurants, a couple of italians, at least one thai place, vietnamese places and a japanese restaurant. there must be an indian restaurant (though i can't think of one at the moment) and there's the former pheasant pub which does west indian food.

maybe they could employ the drunks that hang around outside the chemist as rickshaw runners. A terrifying but hilarious way to get about
