what I want to know is if it updates all the posting times when it's updated, or whether we wind up with threads which have a hop-back in time in the middle of them

I've noticed that too. It's always an hour out when I first come on, but corrects itself as soon as I log in. Wierd.

Its to do with how the time zone is set in your profile. It's really quite dull.

PMSL! Don't mention the forum clock! I did once and was lucky not to get banned for life! They of course delighted in taking the pee out of me for it over at sheff chat, morons that they are.
