I have two lovely 14 week old guinea pigs boys but as a first time piggy owner i wanted to check whether sneezing is common? Their noses and eyes appear fine and they are full of life so i don't think they are ill. They are being treated for mites as one developed a bald patch on his leg, which now seems to be appearing on the others ones leg but they certainly seem less itchy than when i first got them... Can anyone impart their piggy wisdom?

Peaches, our resident piggy expert says put vics on their noses, but if it's rattly get them to the vets ASAP

where abouts are you? Peak Vets at Woodseats are open on sundays. Check their website for times

The patches could be fungal not mites, there's a lot of it going around, in which case the mite treatment won't work.

They could be sneezing from the dust in the hay too, I would see if you can find a rodentologist, instead of a vet, I think there are a few in Sheffield
