I went to see the new Star Wars last night at UGC and before the film began a new Pearl & Dean advert was played. It was the original moving celluloid but with a dancer walking across the screen and a remixed theme tune. Does anybody know what this is for? Is it to be a new permanent feature?

I saw this and I thought it was a real person at first. I remember turning to my mate saying, what is that idiot doing. Sorry don’t know what it is for though.

It got me for a minute too- looked really lifelike!

I think it's something to do with the Smirnoff advert that follows it. The one with the second-rate Dave Elsewhere awkwardly and unentertainingly body-popping for what seems like a full 4 hours to disjointed non-rythmic music.

Very annoying, and I'm not entirely sure what it's supposed to be advertising.

It does but it's got a flange applied to it and some sort of modern dance beat - it's actually very good.

i personally will be damn glad when that smirnov event occurs then we can have sense at the end of the adverts!!

I find it quite creepy.............it looks so lifelike with his shadow cast on the screen too...............i was going to shout at him to get out of the way!

Yup saw it too when I went to see Star Wars, and the day before when watching Monster in Law. Takes you by surprise at first as it really does look like a guy walking in front of the screen.

Star Wars was fantastic. Blows the rest of the new films out of the water. Got to see it again. :D

I was outraged!
its the best film advert music thing ever and they ruined it!
I always love it and sing along plus it has a surprisingly satisfying feel to it.
