HA HA HA - he's a bloody nutter - probably shoved too much up his nose before trying to drive. Pity it wasn't a tank he was driving!

Hey come on, no one deserves that, that is a nasty thing to say. He is suffering from depression which is an illness and he needs support and treatment to recover, not idiots like you two saying stupid things like that.

I'm entitled to my opinion thanks Zedex and you have yours.

I can't stand the man's music and I don't much care for his career. I do, however, feel sorry that his depression is such that he has tried two attempts at suicide in recent months and is clearly extremely unhappy. Depression isn't, at any time, a laughing matter, regardless of your personal feelings towards Brian Harvey.

He's suffering depression because he had a huge head and a huge attitude when he was popular with 8 year old girls a few years ago, and cannot cope with the fact that the general public couldn't give two hoots about his existance now.

Some see this as payback for all those years of listening to his aroggance.
Personally I'm glad he came crashing down to earth.

All cries for attention. Its a shame they're getting into the news. I'd love for them to go completely unnoticed. Do we really need to hear about them?

Let him try to kill himself. If his heart is set on it, then that's fine. My only concern is that I don't think he really wants to do it, so will continue to do stupid things that are brought to my attention.

Apparently it was a convertable... as i too thought the same... unless the door wasnt shut properly...

I think its sad to know that he has tried to take his own life twice and now this... (once famous or not he is still a human someone's son/brother etc...)

Brian's agent is saying there isnt a link... but makes you wonder after 2 overdoses and now accidently getting run over by your 'own' car!?

Too suss for me... :?

ps If this is a cry for help he should speak up!

Yes it must be a cry for help. Either that or hes seeking more attention. Im sure if someone REALLY wanted to kill themself then they would have no trouble doing it succesfully, especially after failing twice already. I cane see why it would be so difficult to commit suicide if thats what you really wanted.

Former East 17 singer Brian Harvey 'critically ill'

Tuesday, 31st May 2005, 16:14
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Former East 17 singer Brian Harvey is in a critical condition after he fell out of the driver's seat and under a car while reversing his vehicle this morning.

His ex girlfriend Emma B and his dad are by his bedside.

His agent Simon Harrison said: "He has suffered multiple injuries and is critically ill.

"He has a number of fractures including broken legs, his pelvis has been broken in six places, and broken ribs.

"His abdomen has also been pushed up into his stomach which I am told is a particular problem.(no **** sherlock)

"He is in intensive care and I have been told he has just been taken down for another operation. He has had several already to repair the damage."

The accident happened around 1.53am at The Drive in Walthamstow, east London when the lone driver was backing out of an access road into his drive.

No other cars were involved and the victim was taken to an east London hospital with multiple injuries.

A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: "We were called by the ambulance at 01:53 to reports of a man under a car.

"We are currently investigating the collision but at this early stage believe he may have fallen from the driver's seat of a Mercedes convertible while reversing from an access road into the drive.

"He was alone in the car and there was no other driver involved."

I bet he wishes he hasn't taken all those E's when he was in E17 -

I agree with you completely, SheffieldSean.

Whatever you think of them as a person, it is always distressing when someone is suffering so badly from depression that they try to end their life. Very sad.

its hard to feel sorry for someone who has courted the press at every occasion and the response on here i a pretty standard one.

Its never nice when something like this happens but its unsuprising that he gets little sympathy.

As someone who used to get tortured by East 17 by a girlfriend I understand this.

These so-called celebrities who have become more famous for who they leep with/how many drugs they take oddly get very little sympathy when things go wrong.

How the hell can someone get so many injuries by falling from a car that your only reversing!?... unless maybe travelling at high speed... I dunno so many questions... sounds bizarre to me :?

Brian should not be so proud... Speak up man! everyone needs help sometime or another in their life...

Wow. This is a really nasty thread. I cannot believe how heartless some people are!

I read this:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/music/4599035.stm

and felt very sorry for him. I would feel that way about anyone who suffered such a trauma. Even someone I normally wouldn't like.

Yeah, I can see that, because he was a drug taker, a big head in his youth (as many teenagers would be with hundreds of screaming girls telling you how gorgous you are) and someone who courted the press, that he deserves death or serious injury. I can see the logic in that....

robbie

There's some very uncaring and unsympathetic people around .. until something happens to them or theirs and then they want all the sympathy going ... whether they "deserve" it or not.

Let's hope that they never need it ... what goes round comes round I keep hearing people say ....

Err... a cry for help you say?

You know, there are less painful ways of making a cry for help than falling under two tonnes of German automobile; he is very fortunate to be alive, as his injury list is extensive.

and I am sure he's just loving all the attention you're giving him. Just the thing he needs for a speedy recovery

If this man does kick the bucket , it will just bring back memories of Princess Diane------someone we love , snatched from us when we least expect it.
We may not have known this gentlemen personally or how he came about , tumbling out of his car , whilst trying to reverse it -------but we should reach out and let him know we are here for him. After all , one day , any one of us could fall from our cars. Think about that !

I doubt that very much. Hes not in the same league as Dianna.
While I sympathise his situation, im sure that life will go on around him, and I doubt they will build a shrine in his name. In fact I still havent heard about this on the news, Im just going off the word of this forum that this actually happened.

lol, true true. I have got sympathy for him (not too much), but hes still just an ordinary person, he doesnt mean anything to me more than the next person off the street means to me. I wouldnt wish anything bad to happen to him, but if it did then thats the way it goes. Ive got more important people to care about (ie my family)
