What do people think about a Yorkshire "parliament". My worries are about the cost, where it will be based and what it will actually do for us. If we are not careful we could end up paying extra for something that takes away some of our local controls.

I entirely agree. Do we really want to throw away money on something like this? Between the government, the EU and the council we've got enough overpaid nutters trying to run our lives. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!!
