View Full Version : Great high place to view fireworks?

Hi all, anyone know a good spot when u can sit back and watch the fireworks from like a car park or some quiet high up place ? Sheffield has some great views but i wanna know if there is any good quiet ones, i know maybe somewhere near genkins hill ? (wincobank)

You can see the entire city from Meersbrook park. I spent new year's eve 1999/2000 up there and it was truly phenomenal. What was the story behind the enormous firework that went up from the city centre at the stroke of midnight? That was one helluva firework!!!

The car park by the Norfolk Arms, Ringinglow is pretty good.

The back of the Royal pub in Dungworth, you can see all seven hills from there, spectacle everywhere you look!

Herdings Hill up Gleadless but you might wanna take something to beat the local kids off with ;)

A mate of mine lives up Crookes, towards the Broomhill end, and he says that from the window of his flat he can see the whole of Sheffield.
