What about a Four Tiered Forum?

New members all start on the lowest tier where the one-liner posters run riot. A proper attempt at discussion gets you noticed and flagged by other members for a possible promotion to tier two. Eventually, if you're an excellent debater, you achieve the glorious right to debate on tier four - the Level of the Gods. You may lower yourself to debate on a lower tier thread, but if it's a higher tier thread, you may only look and wonder, like a child at a sex shop window.

This would prevent riff-raff dumbing down the intellectual threads, lower the incidence of trolling, and give the uneducated masses somewhere to play.

I have no delusions of debating superiority by the way. I'd be talking Films, Food and Relative Breast Size Within Girls Aloud on tier two. :hihi:
