Do you remember your youth, are you still youthfull? are you a youth? We are part of a youth and employment project based in High Green. We are collecting stories and remenisences from people in Sheffield to place on our interactive 'living' map of Sheffield.

We already have quite a few and with the kind permission of Sheffield Library have also linked up some pictures from the picturesheffield.com site. We aim to give employment and training to our small team at the same time as encouraging a sharing of ideas between older and younger on the idea of being young. have a look and join in, we will be making improvements to the site soon to make it easier to use.

Brought up behind the old Infirmary in Cross Addy Street just up from the old Oxford Picture Palace. Most nights use to play on Crookesmoor Rec, then later the Ponderosa when it was demolished and the remaining factories pulled down.Pet hate is that they conect the Ponderosa with Cookesmoor rec and call it that. We as the kids at that time kept it seperate and so it should. As a kid going to Millhouses park was a day trip our world at the time was in a close area. We either went by tram or bus , not many people owned cars. I was lucky my grandfather had a coach company and I went all over. Many stories at the moment putting them together and would like some help but would like to produce a book.
