It's very nearly June and it won't be long before they have got chuffin Christmas things in the shops again!. It doesn't seem two minutes since the start of the year.

It seems like every year absolutely flies by. Is it because all the shops are a season ahead and we are constantly thinking of the future, or is it just that we are having so much fun?

Last year I started my Christmas shopping in October.
I also started saving for Christmas '05 in January.
I'm never normally this organised, must be getting older.

You know the way the years seem to speed up? Well I have a theory as to why that is...

Remember when you were a kid, a year seemed to last forever? It seemed a lifetime between one Christmas and the next, one Birthday and the next... Well that's because it pretty much was.

When you are 5 a year is one Fifth of your life. No wonder it seems so long.

When you are 20, its a much smaller fraction (and so on).

So you see, the years really do get quicker from our point of view!
