hey guys, iv created a jukebox in director, iv got buttons with 4 song names which when pressed lead to a page each with a video of the song which starts playing straight away. but i cant remember the lingo for the stop, play, forward buttons. anyone help me please?

Not used Director for years, but this is on Director MX.

Import a quicktime movie, pop it on the stage. Click on the movie and look at the property inspetor. There's a tab for quicktime, choose that and there are tick boxes. Tick "controls" and this adds to the qt movie the play controls. That's it!

If you wanted to use your own custom buttons, then it's abit harder. Try here for a start:

yeah thanks sammyBoy. i did eventually work it out, but glad ya both gave me some help anyway!
i.e.

RW was:
On mouseUp
set the movieRate of sprite13 to -20
end
