I now have terminal (ssh) connectivity to one of my servers on my N95 for quick fixes.
As you can imagine, trying to use vi (or shell access generally!) is quite a painful process. :hihi:
I've had a quick scan around web, it seems bluetooth keyboards that could be usable with N95 start at £50 and up. That's a bit much for occasional use, anyone able to suggest an alternative to (cheaper than) bluetooth keyboard (eg. adaptor to connect PS2 -> N95 USB port ?)?
There's a few cheaper than that on ebay though the mini ones that look most practical for carrying about with a mobile are all shipped from China or Hong Kong. Still might be worth a look though...
eBay Shop search results (http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38&_nkw=BLUETOOTH+WIRELESS+KEYBOARD&_sacat=See-All-Categories)
Hope that helps.
*doh* should have tried Hong Kong Fleabay!
I'll check it out see what's there, cheers :D

maybe swap it for the stunning e71 with a qwerty keyboard? I plan on doing the same as you for remote admin purposes, and have an e71 in my sights.
But failing that the bluetooth laser projection keyboard seems like a compact solution, although not fully mature yet
The laser projection unit look nice, but I have some reservations:
- price :(
- not yet convinced they would work particularly well
- need a flat surface (ie a lap on the train wont do ;) )
No sure about swapping for e71... the N95 does other stuff that I'd like to keep hold of (decent pocket camera for example), not sure how the E71 compares in other areas.

I've got an n95 too, but that's a touch chunky, even for me. But it does have a kick-ass camera on it, the 3 megapixel offering on the E71 isn't as good. Video quality is similar though, and like the 95 you can upload movies and pics straight to youtube & flickr etc.
But the qwerty keyboard and orientation towards boring apps (full version of quick office and pdf reader included, amongst other things) plus the wifi/a-GPS/3.5G capabilities make it as good as, if not better than the 95. Battery life is an improvement too, and it's a lot more svelte than the 95 which is unsurprisingly brick like.
An extra keyboard, and I think it will have to be bluetooth, is yet another thing to be carrying around.
Horses for courses though, innit?

my N95 has all those, possibly not the a-GPS, that I wouldn't know about as I don't use the GPS built in so not read about it.

Still easier than lugging laptop about! A bluetooth keyboard would be ideal for occasion terminal access to my webserver(s) from the office ;) (bloody corporate firewalls :D )
