Check the device manager for any warning symbol on the sound device (aka sound card)

Sound muted on computer?

Does the sound card show in device manager? If not, that's the problem. If so, right click it and uninstall, then reboot and reinstall the drivers, see if that works.

If it's not shown, is it onboard sound or a separate soundcard?

Found problem, speakers were plugged in wrong port on back of PC, fixed now, so Mods can lock this please.
