You know like the one's you used to get in the 70's!!

- Beautiful succulent breast of chicken
- Marinaded for so long the meat fell of the bone if you just looked at it
- Free from artificial colouring
- Cooked in a thing called a tandoor.

They were yum:headbang:

Nowadays I have given up requesting aforementioned dish at any curry house because what I now get is a

:gag:TOXIC TANDOORI:gag:

- Dry tasteless meat
- painted with layer of food colouring
- Cooked at gas mark 4

usually accompanied by a bright pink or purple sauce, containing enough chemicals to keep a city of toddlers awake until they are old enough to vote.

:help:So please please please FOODIES, could anyone recommend a restaurant where I can relive the glory days of the REAL Tandoori Chicken?:help:

Yours on the window ledge,

I know a fantastic place where you can get a 70's style Indian meal complete with time-warp decor, it's called The Prince of India. Sadly it's in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire, approximately 120 miles from Sheffield. I've yet to find anywhere in Sheffield that serves traditional Indian food instead of all this "contemporary Indian cuisine" nonsense, people say Akbar's in Rotherham is good but I haven't tried it yet.
