Just wanted to let everybody know my experience as choosing a vet is an important decision and is often discussed on here.

I have used Peaks vets (Crystal Peaks S20) with my cats and they gave me a special kitten pack when I took my last one for his injections (with food, info etc).

I have just taken Koda my new lab puppy for her first course of injections and they were great. They have given me six weeks free pet insurance (pet plan-with no signing up or anything-I know some breeders offer this) and something which I think is really great!!!!

They are offering free puppy socialisations for an hour every week (Thursdays I think-4 weeks) where you just go along with your pups and they pretty much run riot together! I have never heard of a vet surgery offering this before but think it's a wonderful idea-especially as many puppy classes only begin at certain times of the year or you have to wait until n 8 week course finishes to start.:D

I don't know if it's open to everybody or just Peaks customers, but for anybody choosing a vet in the area for a puppy I would definatly recommend this!

Yeah it's difficult to find one within a reasonable commuting distance especially with the little ones and thier weak bladder control!
We don't have a car but are lucky as we are in walking distance of this vets.
The one in Woodseats sounds good too then I have never heard of vets doign anything like this and definatly not for free they usually want all your money hee hee!

It's good that we seem to have some good vet's in Sheffield. You don't always get ones that are so caring.
