Does any one know how to get scratches out of a marble fireplace?

There's a place opposite the cemetary on City Rd that do worktops and headstones from raw material - it's probably worth asking them

At a guess, I'd say it would need to be ground and polished out, but I have no idea what tools/materials you'd need
