Pretty much anyone will be better tbh.

Have a look at ADSLGuide (www.adslguide.org).

Just don't go with AOL, otherwise known as AOhell by anyone who's ever had the misfortune of being on it...

Seriously their broadband is crap, and their tech "support" (and I use the term VERY loosely in their case) are retarded and know bugger all.

For ADSL I would recommend either plus net good ISP local but a tad expensive. Im with pipex and have had nothing but a high quality service from them would recommend either.

PlusNET expensive?! 1 Mb for 15 quid a month expensive?! I think not baby puppy..

I think anyway that when my 12 month subscription to Wanadoo runs out in November, I'm going to move to PlusNET 1 Mb.

And whats the download limit on that? Thats what makes it expensive.

Plus.net gave up counting what people were downloading - they were struggling to do it - so technically there is no download limit and you can have a 2mb connection for £14.99 if you want.
